Halloween Plans Revealed!!!
So how many of you guessed what I'm going to be for Halloween? Huh? Huh? Huh?

Well...if you didn't, it's too late because my costume is complete and has been modeled for photos. The entire thing came from Goodwill aside from the hat which was from ebay and the scarf which was pieced together and soft painted (the most expensive thing in the costume was the paint lol). So I bring you, me as the 4th Doctor, aka Squishy!

Jelly baby?

Jelly Babies brought to you courtsey of Kimberly who actually bought & shipped me authentic Jelly Babies so I didn't have to use Sour Patch Kids pretending to be Jelly Babies!

Well gotta do the trademark Tom Baker hat-lower-and-laugh move.

BTW my fly is not down in any of these pics, I just haven't gotten around to ironing the pants so the zipper stays covered lol

Who's the Time Lord?

Sans very heavy but very nice jacket which is sadly dry clean only. God bless Dryel sheets.

Ack sorry about that red eye and flash glare there.

The end!

As for my usual Wed posts, Ghost Hunters was not spectacular so no real comment there and I have yet to watch House so I cannot review that one yet. I will give you the quote of the day brought to you by my brother. But let me set it up first. There was a study done that said the air that is inside a microwave popcorn container contains carcinogens. So my brother opens up a bag of popcorn and after it's been open for about a min Lexi looks inside it causing my brother to snatch away the bag and scream: DON'T BREATH THE AIR! IT'LL KILL YOU!!!!!! So all night we teased him about that one.

But not as exciting as my costume. Comment on it. Love it. Tell me you want to wear it. Be in awe of my Squishyness.

I love it! It's wonderful! Awesome! spectacular! Very reminiscent of Squishy!

Good on you!

(And me for sending you Jelly Babies. And Kroger for stocking them, even if it is an old Albertsons and utterly ridiculous.)

Also, I am jealous of your coat.

And exactly how long is your scarf?

YAY!!!!! Thank you for loving it. And for sending me Jelly Babies and for shopping at a Kroger that used to be an old Albertsons.

The coat is great. $10 at Goodwill and it fits me perfectly, which you could see better if I has closed it, but that's not very Squishy-like. However it's going to be added to my winter coat collection cause it's terribly fun.

The scarf should be 14 ft. But I haven't measured it...mainly because I have nothing that is 14 feet long to measure it with.

It's the Kroger near my dwelling so I shop there every week and every week it ticks me off. I miss my Kroger that is actually a Kroger. My Signature Kroger that has full rows, not stupid half rows.

That's a lot of scarf.

Sadly, I have yet to create my old lady librarian costume. And I really don't want to. *big gusty sigh*

I only have a tiny old HEB by me. It's not my top choice either.

I really enjoy this costume because most of it I'll wear in my normal wardrobe. The Jacket and the shirt I love. The pants I'd actually wear cause they're VERY comfy. The shoes which you can't see I like though they're old. And if I ever need a hat I enjoy this one cause it actually fits my head which is abnormal. I thought I'd have to stuff it when I ordered it.

So basically the scarf and vest will be sitting on the shelf and nothing else. Woo!

I'd help you get your old lady costume but I am far away. I can send you cough drops. Old ladies always smell of cough drops.

YOU

LOOK

AMAZING!

I know you're supposed to be the Doctor, but you look EXACTLY like Romana from Destiny of the Daleks!

It's moments like these I am glad to be such a nerd. :P

So I was actually going to put on there that my costume was Squishy but could easily be Romana dressed as Squishy during her regeneration. However I didn't have time to cap and I figured very few people would understand. But yay for you picking up on it! :D GO NERDS!

And thankyouverymuch! :D

Good costume! But I don't watch Dr. Who so I can't really put it into context, sorry. I've seen commercials though *sheepish grin*

Iris has decided to go as Ugly Betty. Now I have to figure out bangs and find some red-rimmed glasses.

GHOST HUNTERS WAS A MAJOR YAWN! Bleh, I'm so pissed. I woke myself up for it. I think they just aired "whatever" in preparation for the big Halloween broadcast. imo.

Thankie!

This is actually Doctor Who from the 70s so the commercials now wouldn't show this costume. I'd need a suit and chucks for dressing like 10 LOL

If you have a thrift store around they may have glasses/frames lying around. I've seen some stores with them, but not all of them.

Sometimes they show Ghost Hunters where nothing happens. I know that not every case has an amazing find, so I'm ok with it. But I gotta find a way to tape next weeks!

I'm going thrifting today but for clothes and a big purse if I can find it.

Ghost Hunters still made me mad. "Debunking" is still no excuse for airing nothing of interest. imo. And I'm of the opinion that the cash registers coming on suddenly was probably a power surge because of all their equipment :-\

Maybe they were short on cases that actually had something happen?

I know they can't have THAT many cases, since they can only do it on weekends and they have to drive everywhere because of Steve. Just sayin, I expect some times for nothing happen at all, though I wish it would all be cool and freaky.

I'm thinking of writing to them and asking if they ever thought of checking out some of the stuff in San Antonio. I assume the Alamo would be too hard to investigate in b/c of the city stuff and how noisy it is there at night...but the Menger and The Gunter are really popular haunted hotels (one I deal with on a regular basis and the other I park next to) and theres a few other buildings around where I work that are supposed to be haunted. I work in the middle of Texas paranormal central LOL

The party officially goes on for a week so everybody has time to post, read and comment. And it's not like I'm closing the doors after that.

Excellent job Hommie. I'm quite proud of you. You always have great Halloween costumes. I was going to be renewing the Kinky Faerie, but do to having entirely too much to drink on Friday, our Saturday plans got nixed so no Kinky Faerie out at parties.

But I will just be Happy Goth at work on Wednesday. I have a Mortica Addams skirt that I am in love with!
